The City Court Clerk’s Association was first organized on February 26, 1977, in Baker Louisiana. Paula H. Smith, City Court Clerk in Baker, was appointed the “temporary chairman”. The first LCCCA semi-annual meeting was held on March 18 and 19, 1977 and Paula H. Smith of Baker City Court was elected the first president of the newly founded organization.
